In 1994 is was recorded that Equatorial Guinea is home to six different ethnic groups, the majority being Fang, who make up 85.7% of the population. The government is one of a Unitary presidential republic. Teodoro Obiang Nguema is the current president, the GDP is estimated to be $34.824 per capita, certainly one of the highest in Africa.
